I am sure, 100s and 1000s of educated mass has been thinking to join politics but they always repent because the working environment was not amicable for them. It really pains when you know you could have done a great job for your beloved country, but you could not because of….
Unlike in USA, UK and lot of other countries I have been, politics in our country is still a game of muscle, money and deception.
Anna-ji's decision about not joining politics is a stand, which has been perfected by lot of us. Even my parents once used to say, keep a good distance from politics if you want to achieve something in life, and I did that. But after all their kids are grown, and mostly moved out, both my parents are directly or indirectly joined local politics, because they also felt that if they do not join politics, they are actually allowing sub-standard people to rule on them.
AK and AK changed all that. First AK (Arvind Kejriwal) directly changed the game, and he proved to all of us that, we can still play a role in Indian politics without the muscle, money powers and without deceiving people. The second AK (Aamir Khan) who is my favorite hero, is a perfectionist, and I like him because he tries lot of different things all the time, and in forums like Satyameva Jayate, and lot of other events he has dared to talk about Politics in our country and praised the good things about AAP.
But I salute YY, and his cool temper. If I were to be a politician today, my role model would be YY sir. He is simply great, I am not missing any of his debates, talks available in the net. He is simply one of the greats I have seen.
Coming back to the topic, if I were a politician in the current scenario, I think, I would have loved it, because there is lot of positive air now. AK has proved multiple times, that the deception that usual politicians creates using major media can now be out witted using micro media channels. The small pocket cameras are proving to be more powerful than the costly cameras of big media houses. A small example is, a small camera catch of 3 delhi police personnel brutality published in FB, has landed them in suspended ground.
The dharna against DP, which was mostly dominated by major media houses with negative sentiments was winning almost for 3-4 days, but finally the small pocket camera detailed videos reverse geared them, and finally thrown them out of court. Now we know the ground reality of Khirki extension people, what the local people want, how the people used to stay who deal with drugs. These details, which I never saw in any of the major media house broadcasts. Why? Why? Why?
Now, I feel, being a politician, we have lot of positive things to boast about, and work with lot of passion and dignity. Finally these politicians are brings the credibility and respectability back to this profession, which was dying, more evidently in recent hindi movies like Satyagraha.
Now, I am early waiting somewhere in the long journey of destiny of our country which lies on the shoulders of our politicians, and I can see that the honest politicians have started chanting
'miles to go before we sleep'!
Another Indian roaming country after country for meeting the ends.
